Reintroducing Michael Mariotti Interior Design

Happy New Year and Welcome to Michael Mariotti Interior Design (and our first blog post)! If you’ve followed our small Bergen County NJ interior design studio for the last 20+ years, or have had the pleasure of working with us in the past, you might have noticed some big changes around here. Starting with our newly designed website and sleek new logo, we like to think of this new and improved version of our brand image as our renovation. Similar to the renovation of one’s home, we started this journey with the goal of creating an aesthetically pleasing, inviting and overall functional environment to showcase our personality and growth throughout the life of our business.

Why  a Rebrand?

More than a sleek updated logo or a fancy new website, our rebrand signifies our identification with change. Change in the industry, change in the world and change in how people identify and respond to design and luxury. Addressing process was the motive behind our rebranding approach. More specifically, we worked toward streamlining office procedures and developing a more effective design process for our clients. With the help of branding professional Nicole Heymer of Curio Electro, we were able to identify ‘collaboration’ as a defining factor of the MMID brand.

Although a long-standing concept within our company culture, rebranding has allowed us to better define how collaboration drives our work. Specifically in how we interact within our team, with vendors and with clients. Clients benefit from our multi-talented team who make a conscious effort to include the client in every step of the process, communicating as needed and summarizing the project status. This collaboration ensures a full understanding of the project scope and ensures a seamless and enjoyable process. In addition, regular collaboration with our vendors ensures that we are up-to-date on the latest techniques, technologies and advancements in the industry.

Our Goals in 2018

As we spent the better half of 2017 planning and preparing the reinvention of our brand, just in time for the New Year, we are ready to put our new image to work in expanding our presence within the interior design industry. As we enter 2018 we do as most and aim to set goals that will carry us through the year.

Our first goal, and one that we are already working toward with this blog post, is to start blogging on a weekly basis. There are so many aspects to the field of interior design and even more on the business side of what we do. So, this blog will document our experiences, thoughts and ideas on the industry, as well as the answers to your questions. More on what can be expected from our blog below.

A second goal, also already in the works, is our desire to attend a variety of industry tradeshows and events, at least once a month. Something we’ve alway worked into our schedule in the past as we regularly attend High point Market an a number of other New York based shows, but certainly would like to dedicate more time to. We see these events as an opportunity to educate ourselves, but to better serve our clients.

Lastly, we endeavor to add at least three high-end projects to our portfolio by years end. Bonus if they are outside of the tristate area and double bonus if we are able to get them published nationally! I guess that’s actually three different goals…

Needless to say, there is a lot we want to accomplish in 2018 and we can’t wait to share our progress with you here on the blog.


What Readers can expect from our Blog

To expand on our goal of blogging, with this blog we aim to give you a behind-the-scenes look at the design industry, events, trends, and notable brands. Design enthusiasts can look forward to a Client Q&A Series for in-depth answers to common questions from the difference between an Interior Designer and Interior Decorator to, the value of a interior design consultation, as well as a Design Guide Series, defining the various design styles and how to plan for the design of specific rooms. Furthermore, Interior Design professionals will benefit from a Designer Showhouse Series. Our goal with this series is to demystify the showhouse process and answer common questions. Additionally, an Industry Happenings Series will highlight upcoming trade events and public trade shows.
